Yikes! It's been Years

I don't expect there will be anyone reading this, especially since I haven't posted in years. I actually forgot I had a blog. So let me catch you up very quickly. I worked for years & got laid off 16 months ago. I have not been able to find a job since being laid off. O, yes, I have had a few freelance jobs, exactly 6 days of work in w6 months. I am still actively looking & believe I will find something. Hope does spring eternal.

It is very late at night or very early in the morning depending on which side of midnight you prefer. I am struggling to stay awake, alert & look as if I can jump to if something should surprise us here. But tonight may be my Waterloo. For the first time since I have been on this shift, I went down to my desk, gathered the blanket & squishy pillow from my desk & brought it upstairs. I arranged the blanket so carefully under my console & placed the pillow on one of the struts of my Aeron chair. Then I curled up on the blanket & closed my eyes. But it didn't last for long. Guilt would not allow me to relax enough to drift off. This is going to be a long 5 more hours.

By the way, Flash103, Please tell me about you. You are a complete enigma to me. I see you on all the best (my favourite) blogs. Obviously, we know some of the same people
